Azerbaijani House has been given to use in Barcelona
With the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the initiative of the "Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona", the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijani House was held in Barcelona, Spain.
The event, held in accordance with the quarantine rules in connection with the pandemic, was attended by Azerbaijanis living in Catalonia and community members of different nations who have friendly relations with our country.
The event began with demonstrating of videos reflecting the 5-year activity of the Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona and the process of building the Azerbaijani House, with the reading of a congratulatory message to the Azerbaijanis of Spain by Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora on this important event.
The event was addressed by the chairman of the Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona and head of the Azerbaijani House in Spain Karim Karimov, a member of the board of the society Narmin Salayeva, Consul General of Georgia in Barcelona Ketevan Gogolashvili. The speakers praised the activities of the Azerbaijani House in terms of bringing together Azerbaijanis living in Barcelona and Spain in general, connecting them, promoting our national values and historical realities. It was stressed that the Azerbaijani House where joint events of Azerbaijani and other communities will be held will have a special place in the multicultural image of Barcelona.
Detailed information was provided on new and different projects to be implemented in Azerbaijani House on a monthly basis.
It should be noted that, with support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Azerbaijani houses operate in Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Estonia, Ukraine, Georgia and other countries.
