The action "We are together for Azerbaijan" was organized by the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society with the support of local non-governmental organizations in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society Orkhan Hasanoglu said the purpose of the event was to convey the true voice of Azerbaijan and the crimes committed by the occupying Armenian state against innocent civilians to the world community. The chairman of the diaspora also noted that as a diaspora organization in Northern Cyprus, they have been covering the realities of Azerbaijan and the fact of occupation of our lands for about 10 years on local television channels, publishing numerous articles about Azerbaijan in the press.

The action featured the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated.

Orkhan Hasanoglu informed the participants on the recent events in Nagorno-Karabakh. Vice-President of the TRNC Parliament Zorlu Tora, MP of the TRNC Parliament, Chairman of the Rebirth Party, Prof. Dr. Erhan Arikli spoke at the event.

The action was attended by our compatriots living in Northern Cyprus, government officials, MPs, chairmen of various NGOs, members of the local community and the media.
