EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council was held in Luxemburg
The meeting also stressed EU-Azerbaijan relations should be based on sovereignty, territorial integrity of countries

10th meeting of the European Union-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council was held yesterday in Luxemburg. Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs Elmar Mammadyarov attended the event.
The meeting discussed various issues, including EU-Azerbaijan cooperation, current state of negotiation process on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The meeting also stressed EU-Azerbaijan relations should be based on sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of countries.
The same day Mammadyarov also took part in the meeting of Swedish FM Karl Bildt, Spanish State Minister for European affairs Diego Lopez Garrido, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana and foreign ministers of Southern Caucasus nations. They exchanged views on cooperation between EU and regional nations, ongoing developments in the Caucasus and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
After the meeting, foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia and EU officials held a joint news conference.
Azerbaijani FM also met here the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the Special Envoy of the organization`s Chairman-in-Office. They discussed various questions, including Chisinau meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, current stage of talks and next visit of co-chairs to the region.
During his stay in Luxemburg, Mammadyarov met with his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner to exchange views on current level and prospects of bilateral ties, EU-Azerbaijan cooperation, regional affairs and Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
